POWER RANKINGS: Week 3

The Saints remained on top of the power rankings for the 2nd week in a row. Averaging 4 points a game and winning without key players is a true test of strength. Sitting in 2nd once again is Alamo City. The club is coming off its best game this season and is actually leading the league with 4.7 APG. Moving up to its highest ranking is Spartans 1612. New York won easily 5-0 last week and its offense seems very diverse so far. Another club jumping up the rankings is Rose City up 3 spots from last week with another win in week 3. Gold Coast also jumped up 3 spots after getting the clubs first win of 2012. The jump was mostly due to how poor several other BSL clubs have been playing so far.

POWER RANKINGS: Week 1

The opener's are complete. Leading the power rankings in week 1 is Alamo City SC. The Battle lead the league with 5 offensive points. An expansion side, KC Quest, sits in the third spot which is sure to make some headlines. A couple of clubs that did not even win, Union SC and Pennsylvania showed nice debuts and are ranking higher than some clubs that got wins in some low scoring nail bitters. The Champion Gunners may have won, but sit 7th in the rankings. Who would have predicted veteran clubs Gold Coast and Burud Town would be rounding out the bottom? One week does not make a season. Infact, losing opening week has been good luck in the BSL. This is the first time that two matches ended in ties to open a season.
