The dates have been set in preparation for the 2013 season. BSL club owners have until February 18th, to announce their designated players or trade their slots away. On February 19, the replacement club to the KC Quest, will be allow to choose its first player from any of the established BSL rosters unprotected list. Once all the pre-draft formalities are complete, the official draft will begin on February 20th, with Second City SC owning the first overall pick.
First Kick is March 2nd!! An announcement of opening day match-up's will be released at a future date, and then followed afterwards with the complete 2013 schedule.
In league news, 11 of the leagues 12 clubs are returning for the new season. A new owner has been selected to replace KCQ, with the clubs name, logo, and website, yet to be released. Several BSL clubs are in trade talks so far in this offseason, but only 1 trade has been completed to date. Gateway United and Gold Coast FC have released their new kits for 2013.
