Capital District vs Gold Coast

Capital District (1-5-3 / 6 points) enters this match on a 6 game win-less streak including 5 losses in that stretch. Offensively, the club is tied for 6th in scoring with a healthy 2.8 average. The club leads the league in points left on the bench. Gold Coast (4-4-1 / 13 points) has rebounded nicely after an 0-3-0 start to the season and is currently unbeaten in its last 4 matches. It appears the roster overhaul the club made after the slow start and losing several big names to retirement and injury is working.

Pennsylvania vs Rose City

Pennsylvania (1-7-1 / 4 points) has equaled the clubs worst loss total in a season coming into week 10. This match is the Stoners first against the Flyers since the 2012 BSL Cup. Rose City (3-5-1 / 10 points) is coming off the clubs best result of 2013 and may be picking up momentum.

Gateway United vs Union So.Cal

Gateway United (3-5-1 / 10 points) has been in 3 straight high scoring dogfights entering this match. Historically, the Saints have lost only once to the Blues, but there have been 4 ties. Union Southern California (3-5-1 / 10 points) roll on for a 2nd straight Founders Cup match-up. As it stands the Blues are 1-1-0 in the Founders Cup tally.

Alliance vs Alamo City

Alliance (3-6-0 / 9 points) comes into this match on a 3 game losing streak and is last (12th place) in offense. Alamo City (6-1-2 / 20 points) had it 12 game unbeaten streak snapped and is currently sandwiched between 2 other BSL clubs with 1 loss in the standings.

Second City vs Orange County

Second City (4-3-2 / 14 points) will be looking to get back into the playoff zone this week.
Orange County (7-1-1 / 22 points) holds a 2 point edge for first place in the league and rebounded nicely last week to maintain the clubs #1 APG in the league after it had been slipping.

Burud Town vs Spartans 1612

Burud Town (6-1-2 / 20 points) enter this match on a 3 game unbeaten run since losing the clubs only match of the season. With tiebreakers and such the Stags a technically in 3rd place, but are only a stones throw away from 1st. Spartans (5-3-1 / 16 points) enter week 10 with a 3 game winning streak. The latest win propelled the club into the top four.

Rose City 6 Gateway United 5

The Flyers produced the clubs best game this season and needed every bit of the clubs 6 scores to defeat Gateway United in week 9. The big hero for Rose City for the 2nd week in a row was Aurelien Collin. The Defender had 2 SOG's and 1 assist and is the main reason the champions came out victorious. The Saints 3 game unbeaten streak is over, but the club continues to show vast improvement over the start of the season. McMath had 5 saves for Rose City. Franklin came in off the bench for the Saints, but did not score.

Orange County vs Alamo City

Orange County (6-1-1 / 19 points) could turn the league into believers again with a win over Alamo City this week. Alamo City (6-0-2 / 20 points) will look to remain in first place and continue its record unbeaten streak. Could this be a possible playoff preview?

Capital District vs Union SoCal

Capital District (1-4-3 / 6 points) is on uncharted territory for the club with so much hardware. Currently on a club worst 5 game win-less streak. Union Southern California (2-5-1 / 7 points) has been patient, but might have to make major changes if the offense doesn't improve.

Second City vs Spartans 1612

Second City (4-2-2 / 14 points) has fought off lots of contenders for 4th place already in this season and will have to do it again this week. Spartans (4-3-1 / 13 points) are the current 5th place club trying to move into the top 4.

Gateway United vs Rose City

Gateway United (3-4-1 / 10 points) was sitting in last place (12th) just 3 weeks ago and has since gone 2-0-1 averaging 4.0 points per game. Rose City (2-5-1 / 7 points) are starting to get some of the clubs injured players back which might help the struggling offense. Rose City defeated the Saints in the BSL playoff Semi-Finals last season.

Pennsylvania vs Burud Town

Burud Town (5-1-2 / 17 points) could have a chance to move into 2nd place in the BSL stnaindgs this weekend with a win since the Zodiac and Battle are playing each other in week 9. Pennsylvania (1-6-1 / 4 points) have lost 3 games in a row since defeating Gateway United in week 5.

Alliance vs Gold Coast

Alliance (3-5-0 / 9 points) have had a streaky season so far. 3 straight losses, followed by 3 straight wins, followed by 2 losses coming into this weekend. Gold Coast (3-4-1 / 10 points) is on a 3 game unbeaten streak.

Alamo City 7 Pennsylvania 4

The Stoners had their best match since week 1 getting scores from 4 different players. Unfortunately, it would not be enough against Alamo City, who broke the BSL record for longest unbeaten streak (12 matches from 2012-13) by scoring 7 points of their own. The win put's the Battle back in first place of the BSL table.

Before the match even started there were comments about the Flyers missing arguably their two best offensive players this week for the match against the BSL's #1 offense. Where would the scores come from for the Flyers? On Wednesday the first score of the week came for Aurelien Collin. That was the only score the Flyers would get. So who would of thought that it would end up holding up for a tie against the Zodiac? Orange County was blanked and only got rescued by an SOG by new addition Sarkodie.

Alamo City vs Capital District

Alamo City (5-0-1 / 16 points) has not lost a match since 2012 Majors Cup game 1. Since that time, the club has gone on a 10 game unbeaten run. The club that Alamo City last lost to was Capital District. The Gunners also defeated Alamo City in week 22 of last season which cost the Battle the Honors Trophy, which instead went to Gateway United. If keeping track, the Gunners cost the Battle a league trophy, and the Battle cost the Gunners one as well dating back to the 2009 BSL Final. Capital District (1-3-2 / 5 points) are off to the worst start in club history. Will history give the Gunners the edge who have won all BSL Classic derbies to date, or will the current trends change things?

Orange County vs Union SoCal

Orange County (5-1-0 / 15 points) showed real depth last week bolstering scores from the bottom of the lineup. The league's #1 offense faces off against the BSL's senior Southern California club. Union SC (2-3-1 / 7 points) come in as the underdogs having an APG more than half less than their week 7 opponent.

Gateway United vs Burud Town

Gateway United (2-4-0 / 6 points) is coming off the clubs best result of the season. Will that momentum carry over into this week? Burud Town (4-1-1 / 13 points) fell to 3rd place in the BSL standings after the clubs first loss of the season last week. Still, the Stags are in a good position and have had the edge against the Saints in the past.

Alliance vs Second City

Alliance (3-3-0 / 9 points) have moved up to within 1 point of a playoff position thanks to a 3 game winning streak. The club just ahead of the Lions is the next opponent. Second City (3-2-1 / 10 points) will need a positive result this week to stay in the top 4 and historically has lost 4 of 5 against Alliance FC.

Spartans vs Pennsylvania

Spartans (2-3-1 / 7 points) dropped to 6th place in the BSL standings which is the furthest down the club has been this season. Pennsylvania (1-4-1 / 4 points) didn't have 4 losses last year until week 19. The results have not been kind so far for last seasons BSL Cup and Majors Cup runners-up.

Rose City vs Gold Coast

Rose City (2-4-0 / 6 points) comes into this match having lost 2 in a row, but will have several key players back on the roster making for a much more competitive representation than last week. Gold Coast (2-4-0 / 6 points) has won 2 of the clubs last 3 matches and appears to be making progress after a slow start to the season.

Alamo City 3 Burud Town 2

Alamo City came out the gates firing against the BSL's other unbeaten club, Burud Town, scoring 3 times very early in the match. The Stags pecked away at the 3-0 deficit to get within 1 score midway through the match. The second half of the game was filled with failed chances on both sides highlighted by 2 Maicon Santos goals wasted on the bench by ACB. The final score would remain 3-2 with the Battle securing first place in the BSL and is now the last unbeaten club for 2013. Alamo City extends its unbeaten streak as well.

Alamo City vs Burud Town

Alamo City (4-0-1 / 13 points) had its 7 game winning streak snapped counting last season. The club is currently unbeaten in 5 games for 2013, and unbeaten in 9 games overall. Burud Town (4-0-1 / 13 points) is technically in 2nd place in the BSL standings by the slimmest of margins. Besides having the same record, the Stags also have the same APG as Alamo City. The Battles MOV (margin of victory) is the meager edge at the moment as the next tiebreaker. Burud Town is on the clubs longest unbeaten streak in club history. The club leads in the all-time series, but Alamo City has won the last two meetings.
