Offseason Deadlines

The next BSL Season will begin on March 3rd, but before first kick, clubs will need to prepare their rosters. Those returning will have until February 12th to RSVP. Once it is known how many clubs will be participating, a complete schedule will be released shortly after. All clubs will have until February 19th to announced the players from last season they are going to protect. This includes any Designated Players, Retention Players, or Re-Entry Players. If there is an expansion draft, that will take place on February 20th. Then 2018 BSL Player Draft will begin February 21st and run until completed.

MCQ Going Regional

There will be a slight variation in the Majors Cup qualifiers in 2018 as the first stage will be changed from a single table to 2 groups separated by Western and Eastern geography. A sample of the variation can be seen in the Majors Cup page on this website.

On this page you will find all things related to the 2018 Majors Cup tournament.

No More Acquisition Budgets

The League has revealed the elimination of club acquisition budgets for the 2018 season. The three year old rule was given careful review and determined to be lackluster. Everything from bidding wars to trades all saw a decrease in attention and overall website comments since the inception of the ACQ. Therefore, bidding will return to its prior method of offering up the better statistical player as collateral (see RULES on this website for details). As compensation for all clubs losing their saved budget monies, all clubs will be granted 3 Designated Player slots instead of 2 slots for free for at least 3 seasons.
