Majors Cup Qualifying Begins

A new season to qualify for the tournament is set to get started this weekend with 3 clubs in each a West and East group competing for first place in each group, for the right to advance and play MLS competition.  Gateway United and Gold Coast will each have a bye weekend in the schedule.

Zlatan is Coming

After what seems like forever, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is finally coming to the States on a 2 year deal. Three clubs are interested in his rights (Capital District, Alamo City, and Gold Coast). Bidding for the 36 year old will conclude 6pm (PT) on Friday.

Josef Martinez Delivers Win for the Suns

The Suns got in the win column in week 3 action highlighted by a 3 goal hat trick from Josef Martinez to defeat SC Canada 6-4. Meanwhile Capital District improved to 3-0-0 with an easy 6-1 win over the 0-3-0 Union S.C.  Also, Gateway United and Alamo City played to a 4-4 draw. Next weekend will be a break before the first MC Qualifier matches begin.

Rossi Scores Five By Himself!

The Gunners improved to 2-0-0 after scoring another double digits this time defeating Gold Coast 11-6. The win was highlighted by the 2 goals and 3 assists scored by Diego Rossi. Meanwhile, Gateway United scored 10 with 4 players getting braces to defeat Union S.C. 10-7. The Mounties edged out Alamo City 4-3 to get the clubs first points on the young season.

Gunners Lead Openers With A 10 Spot

Capital District came out the gates roaring scoring 10 points to cruise to a victory over S.C. Canada and garner 1st place after week 1. Alamo City broke a 5-5 tie with Union S.C. with 2 late scores from Alessandrini and Blanco to earn a win. The rematch of last years BSL Final saw the Saints and Suns have to settle for a point each.
