With two clubs fighting for their first Majors Cup, the 2019 MCT Final began explosive. Angel Town came out roaring with 4 points very quickly when Maxi Morales and Heber Dos Santos each delivered a brace. But, just like all Majors Cup matches this season, the Spartans were ripe for the challenge and fought back bravely. Slowly throught out the weekend, the Spartans gathered back scores. First, Sean Johnson put up 5 saves, then Ziegler got one, and then Wondo and Ruidiaz would also score and tie up the match 4-4. The momentum finally turned when MVP candidate Carlos Vela's goal reclaimed the lead at 5-4 for Angel Town. On Sunday, Julian Gressell once again, just like he did in the semi-finals, put in a late equalizer and the match went into extra time. With the bench cleared it was Angel Town that had the scores to pull out the win and the championship ending the cinderella story for the 2019 Spartans. It was a wonderful final and went to the limit.
