Century Has Historic Debut

THE BIG STORY: The Elevens put on a show and lit up the scoreboard in week 1 to put the rest of the BSL on official notice. This expansion team means business as Century scored an amazing 10 points in their very first game to easily defeat fellow expansion opponent Wolves. A total of 7 players hit the scoresheet including a hat trick from defender Oswaldo Alanis. It's the first time an expansion team has won the weekly "highest points" in a BSL season opener.
AROUND THE LEAGUE: The Spartans got the clubs 50th win all-time with a week 1 victory. Angel Town left 3 scores on the bench in their defeat. Royal Oak got 2 late goals from Kevin Molino to salvage a draw against Capital District. Gold Coast lost Josef Martinez to injury after its season opening win. Clark County's 5 point victory was the largest in the clubs history.
