Southland enters the BSL as an expansion team. The club was very aggressive in offseason trades, and picked up some very good players including Pedro Santos who will get his share of points playing in a stacked Crew roster, and Johnny Russell, who is as consistent as they come. It is not easy to win in this league in your first year, but it can be done. With the expanded playoffs and Majors Cup, the Wildcats just need to be competitive to steal away someone else's post season position.
