What is the Majors Cup tournament?
It is an end of the season tournament where 4 qualifying BSL clubs face off against the 4 MLS champion clubs from the previous year using the BIGTIME point system.

Majors Cup adds another incentive
Majors Cup give BSL operators who may be sitting
at the bottom of the standings a 2nd chance.

How to qualify?
The top 4 BSL clubs that acquired the most points in the last 11 regular season games will qualify.

How the tournament is conducted?
4 BSL clubs and 4 MLS club will be placed in 2 groups (2 MLS 2 BSL each) where they will play each other 1 time in a round robin group stage. The top 2 teams in each group will play in a single game elimations. (just like Champions League) Therefore each team plays a minimum 3 games and a maximum 5 games.

How MLS clubs are determined?
The previous years MLS Cup winner, Supporters Shield winner, US Open Cup winner, Canadian Championship winnner, are the 4 qualifiers. If the same clubs wins multiple cups in the season, then the MLS Cup runner-up is the first sub team. Next would be the Supporters Shield runner-up.

How the Majors Cup GROUP's are set up?
The MCQ (BSL Clubs qualifing table) list the top 4 qualifying. Seeds 1 and 4 are in group A, seeds 2 and 3 are in group B.
The MLS standings of the current season will determine the order of the 4 MLS teams in the tournament. The MLS with the most points in the standings at the conclusion of week 22 of the current BSL season is seed #1 and so forth in their points order. This way the club with the current best form is the top MLS seed.
