OFFSEASON: Energy heats up as the draft gets closer

With the 2010 BSL Draft inching closer and closer to starting, the leagues energy level has increased with it. The offseason is coming to an end and finally we can get back to playing. In the past few weeks 4 more teams have introduced web sites. Now 6 0f 8 teams have one!

The draft order is in place, and 2 of the 4 available Designated Players have been decided now that Montgomery County has announced Omar Cummings as its teams return player. The C.D. Gunners owner is keeping quiet with his 2 available picks.
Spirits appear to be high for several teams looking for a championship season. Gateway United seems hot for some hardware, while Union S.C. is desperate just to qualify for anything, as is St. Louis, who enters the league with 15 years of experience from other leagues. Will the Cure find success in the BSL? New York may be new, but has set its sights on "the treble" and wants to win all three seasons championships. Gold Coast F.C. isn't intimidated with picking last in the draft and has even embraced the California derby creating the California Cup between Union S.C. and itself. The pressure will be on the Monarchs, as several teams are circling the champions on their schedule. The Gunners are also a wanted team. Can anybody beat their team record of 47 points in a season?

  2. I'm game Monarchs, but I think we'll have to come up with a different name. I'm not near DC which is where I'm guessing you got the name from.

Speaking of derbies, Greeks, how about an Empire Cup? Upstate vs NYC.

  4. Also about the draft, will it be the same order every round or reverse every other round?
