CD GUNNERS 5 MONTGOMERY 5
The NECC featured two of the more dominate clubs in 2009 that went all the way to the BSL Championship game. Now in 2010 this rivalry now features what could be the two highest payrolls in the BSL. The match started off with each club benefiting from the Angel/Henry combination of 2 goals/2 assists. The Gunners took the games first lead when Saborio scored and then built on that lead thanks to Maldondo. Montero/Keller each added points and the Gunners held a 5-3 lead going into Sunday. It was a lead that would not be held, as the Monarchs resembled the club from 09' and came back with a goal from Collins John and an assist from Husidic to steal a point in the standings. The 5-5 tie was the second in a row this season between these two BSL foes. The Gunners took home the NECC Cup having won the first meeting this season.

GATEWAY UTD 5 UNION SC 1
Another club resembling its old dominance was Gateway United. After both clubs got points from the LeToux/Mwanga score that made the game 1-1, the Saints took over scoring the next 4 points to route the Blues 5-1. Conor Casey was a last minute scratch from the Rapids line-up and DeRosario was blanked for the 5th game in a row leaving Union SC some heavy concerns. Meanwhile, Gateway United got 2 PK goals from Landon Donovan, but had the win in hand well before those scores.

GOLD COAST 3 BURUD TOWN 2
Gold Coast continued its dominance over Burud Town sweeping the season series. Of the Suns 7 wins this season, 3 have come against the Stags. Burud Town scored first in this one with Marco Perovic's goal. Then doubled the lead with a Brad Davis Penalty kick goal. The game changed momentum when Brad Davis missed on a 2nd PK opportunity. It was around this time that the Suns offense woke up. Jason Garey, Justin Braun and Brian Ching would soon follow with points to give Gold Coast the lead. Blair Gavin also scored for the Suns, but was on the bench. The Stags would have more opportunities to score but didn't and the game would end 3-2. The missed PK would cost Burud Town at least a point and who knows if Brian Ching gets a last minute assist if the Dynamo weren't trailing in the match on Saturday.

ST. LOUIS 3 NEW YORK 3
There is one club in the BSL that can compete with the Cure. It's the lowly Greeks. New York has had trouble scoring all season long and is at the bottom of every statistical category, but thanks to a couple of assists from Andy Williams, and the steady keeping from Nick Rimando, the Greeks managed to tie St. Louis. The Cure did get a great game from Robbie Findley and also had a clean sheet of its own with Nielsen, but just could not score the game winner. The club had its opportunities including Edson Buddle on Sunday, but just could not get it done. Patrick Nyarko would score on Sunday, but the Cure left him in Reserves. It was not a loss for St. Louis and the tie allowed the Cure to win the 2010 Honors Trophy.
Screw you Pickens ... he clearly got the word of his firing before the match as that is the only explination of how he stopped Ferreira's shot.
