WEEK 8: Suns Moving Up the Standings

GOLD COAST 4 CD GUNNERS 2- The Suns continue to win big games and have to be considered a strong contender for the BSL Cup. This week, the club had the league high of 4 points in a soft scoring weekend. Renteria scored the game winner. The Gunners had their unbeaten streak snapped. It was the clubs first loss since opening day.

GATEWAY UTD 2 BURUD TOWN 2- The Saints still have not found a way to get 3 points against Burud Town. In this match, Gateway United had more production on the pitch, but could only muster 2 points on the scoreboard. Charlie Davies opened the scoring with a goal and assist, but played again on Saturday bringing his average to 1. Friberg and Jewsbury had scores wasted on the bench. The Stags got the most out of their opportunities including 7 saves from Kennedy.

SECOND CITY 3 PENNSYLVANIA 0 - Remaining in first place, the Stars picked up the clubs league high 6th win after defeating the Stoners. Wolff's goal and assist averaged out to a point and Coundoul garnered 7 saves. Pennsylvania had a very quiet game and could not take advantage of the 3 yellow cards Second City had this week.

ALAMO CITY 3 PN RANGERS 0 - The Battle had an easy time against the Rangers with scores from Folan, Henry and Rimando to pick up the clubs 4th win on the season and improved to 4-4-0 in the standings.

ALLIANCE 2 HILLCREST UTD 0 - The losing streak ended at 5 games for the Lions and the men in black picked up its first win since week 1. Andy Najar had 2 assist very early in the week to average 1 point after playing 2 games on the schedule.

  1. With all the attention JPA is getting. I am making the deadline on him 5pm (PST) tomorrow. As mentioned before, right now Pennsylvania has the best offer with O.White

  2. I don't know what's worse, actually losing Morales or the fact it was Mondaini who injured him.
