The power rankings are almost unchanged from a week ago. The standings leaders continue to out perform the clubs at the bottom. More than any other BSL season in the past, 2012 appears to have a shortage of mid-level clubs. Perhaps free agency and the
upcoming transfer window will change matters, but currently the playoff race seems limited to half the league. Majors Cup qualifying should be real interesting when it opens up allowing many clubs new hope. It is still 6 weeks away though. With the exception of Gateway United, most of the clubs that had winning records in 2011 are struggling to find wins now. Why? Are the DP's not carrying their weight? 2 of the 3 expansion clubs possess playoff spots.
