Daigo Kobayashi opened his scoring campaign for Alamo City, but it was Jimmy Nielsen's 5 saves that proved to be the difference in this match. The defending champion Flyers struggled to find any offense in week 1 and had ample chances. DiVaio missed a few great shots, McInerney came close. and Rosales had an active night. The Battle's card accumulation allowed substitute Piquionne to enter the game to no spark as well.
