The Spartans clinched a place in the BSL playoffs after holding on to win in week 20 against the Lions. After building up a 3-0 lead, Alliance came charging back on Sunday. Lamar Neagle and Dan Kennedy made the score close and Neagle had 2 other big chances to tie it up as did Villafana, but that was as close as the Lions would get. This will be the Spartans first time in the BSL playoffs in the clubs 2nd season.
