The Suns led the league in scoring for the opener tallying 8 points to easily grab a victory. The club had 6 different players contribute to the scoresheet including 2 goals from Kenny Miller and a goal and assist from the designated team Captain, Blas Perez. Overall, things couldn't have gone better for the Gold Coast. The Stoners meanwhile kept the game interesting in the beginning and even held the lead for a while after Will Bruin produced a hat trick in his first 33 minutes of action.
