Gateway United Wins 3rd Straight BSL Cup!

RECAP
In a BSL Cup featuring two of the leagues bests, the match began with a flare for Capital District when Dockal scored a brace and Blake followed up with a clean sheet very early on. With all of the Gunners "big guns" still left to check in this had the makings to be a record setting BSL Cup. Gateway United countered back quickly as the defending champs got a goal from Bradley Wright Phillips and then another goal from Piatti. Things settled down after that opening fury of scores until Katai leveled the match 3-3. Later, Benny Feilhaber gave the Saints their first lead of the match where it stayed 4-3 until late on Sunday. Victor Vasquez would score on that day for the Saints 5th score and what would become the eventual game winner as Jesus Medina would come through with an assist for the Gunners. The final score 5-4 to Gateway United. The Saints continue to reign as league Champions for a third straight year.

MAN OF THE MATCH
With the match very much in doubt, Victor Vasquez's goal prevented overtime and won it for the Saints in regulation.
