Record Setting Majors Cup Final Ends 11-10!

RECAP
The 10th Anniversary Majors Cup Final did not disappoint as Alamo City and Capital District shattered the record for most points in a Championship Game with 21 combined scores. The match started with the Gunners firing early and often with Diomande and Manotas and Elis building the side a 4-0 lead. Then, Alamo City fired back highlighted by a hat-trick from Quintero to eventually level the score at 4-4. Capital District reclaimed the lead with Villalba and Salloi to go back up 2 points. Alamo City once again fired back with 2 scores to level it a 6-6. The Gunners went back on offense with to build and 8-6 lead, and then Alamo City countered with 3 unanswered to gain its first lead of this historic final highlighted by and Alessandrini brace. Now down 9-8, Capital District found pay dirt with a 6 save performance from Andre Blake, and then reclaimed the lead with the eventual game-winner from Diego Valeri's brace. Alamo City countered with a Blanco assist, but could now find another equalizer which included two substitutes entering the match thanks to Salloi's red card and 2 more Gunner disciplines. Final score 11-10. Capital District wins the back to back Majors Cup titles, and the clubs 3rd in 4 years. (4th overall)

MAN OF THE MATCH
With so much offense, and a match that had so many great moments, picking the man of the match came down to the player that came up with a final resolution. Diego Valeri has been big for Capital District since the day he was originally signed by the club and his value was proved again in this championship final.
