GAME 3: A couple of hat tricks highlight the scoring

A new league high was set for highest score in a game when Gateway United ignited for 8 points. The team used 5 players including a gritty 3-goal performance from Conor Casey to overwhelm D.C. Forever to an 8-2 score.

However, that was not the only hat-trick this week. Garden State got its first win of the season thanks to 3-goals from Robbie Findley. The Kickers 4-1 victory was its first game to score more than 1 point.

For the third week in a row Montgomery County S.C. has finished 2nd in team scoring. In what is the teams most impressive game to date, Montgomery scored 7 points of its own with an impressive 6 players contributing and has increased its lead as the league's #1 offense with an APG of 5.0!!!Gaithersburg City's loss puts the team at 0-3-0 as it continues to seek some scoring punch. The teams lone point in game 3 was by Kevin Hartman, meaning its starters have been shut-out two games in a row.

The most competitive match of the week was more a game of who could score less. Capital District unable to perform as it had in the first two games of the season. The Gunners were shut down completely needing Busch's clean sheet to save the team from being blanked.
