The Zodiac utilized the clubs expansion option today to sign its third player. Unprotected, and left for dead with the defunct Kansas City Quest, Chris Pontius will now be playing for Orange County in 2013. The reason for the Quest poor showing in 2012 were many but, one of the few bright spots was Pontius who had 12 goals, 4 assist for KCQ.
Good pick by the Zodiac. They're off and running. I have to wonder though, could there be some mechanism for picking up players in the offseason on defunct teams?
ReplyDeleteI know I sent more than one comment/email that way and go no reply so essentially that whole roster was dead to me. Maybe improvement for next season?
