Capital District 6 Gateway United 5

MATCH RECAP
Going into this game it was clear neither one of these BSL originals could afford to lose in week 20. Both were hanging on in the top 4 of the MCQ table with several clubs chasing them. The intensity in the standings carried on into the pitch as the match went back and forth totaling 11 points in all. The hero of the match has to be Alvaro Saborio, who's 3 goals were the difference leading the Gunners to the narrow victory. The Saints had 5 players make the scoresheet, but it would not be enough dropping the club into 6th place in the MCQ (2 points behind promotion) with only 2 games remaining. Meanwhile,  Capital District is now in complete control for the clubs quest to reach the Majors Cup for a league best 4th time.
