BIDDING WAR
The Red Bulls announced Wednesday that they agreed to terms with winger/forward Bradley Wright-Phillips, younger brother of former England international Shaun Wright-Phillips. The younger Wright-Phillips, 28, had been training with New York in recent weeks and now joins a group of forwards that already includes Thierry HenryFabián EspíndolaPéguy LuyindulaAndre Akpan and Amando Moreno.  “Since Bradley’s potential was first recognized by Manchester City and the England’s Under-20 side, he has proved to be a goal scorer of note, whether playing up front or as a winger,” Red Bulls sporting director Andy Roxburgh said in a statement released by the club. “We are delighted to sign him. He will certainly add another dimension to our roster with his pace and technical ability.” Bidding for Phillips will conclude on Thursday 7/25 at 5pm(PDT).
