Alamo City and Hawaii Clinch Advancement

Alamo City overcame an early deficit and a Blanco red card, then broke a late 5-5 deadlock when a Joevin Jones brace sealed the dramatic victory. Alamo City improved to 3-0-0 in the MC Qualifiers and has clinched advancement into the tournament. It will be the clubs 4th time in the Majors Cup and first time since 2013. The result ends Capital District league record 14 match unbeaten run. Meanwhile, Hawaii remained perfect at 3-0-0 in the MCQ to also clinch advancement into the tournament. It will be the Islanders 2nd trip to the tournament having also qualified last season. SC Canada got 4 scores from David Accam to lead the Mounties to victory and into 4th place in the MCQ table. Gateway United stayed alive winning over the Spartans. Cumberland stayed alive as well defeating Pennsylvania.
