Capital District Clinches Playoff Spot

Capital District remained unbeaten in league play after a 9-1 victory in week 13 and is the first team to clinch a spot in the 2017 BSL Playoffs. The Gunners seem like a sure thing to clinch a playoff bye in the near future and currently hold a 9 point edge for the Honors Trophy with 5 matches (15 points available) remaining. The Gunners are also 1 win away from 100 all-time regular season victories. Gateway United is holding onto 2nd place and finished the weekend with a 5-5 draw against SC Canada. The Mounties are back in 5th place with the result (the last playoff spot). Alamo City is now on a 7 match winning streak (5 league, 2 MCQ) after winning this weekend 5-3 versus Gold Coast. Hawaii continues to keep the pressure on the league winning 3-0. Union S.C. got a big 5-0 win to keep the clubs slim hopes alive.
