SC Canada had the clubs best weekend of 2019 just in the nick of time for the clubs Majors Cup hopes. The Mounties got braces from Nikolic and Katai. The club saw its first goal from Pity Martinez and Brad Guzan is on a roll collecting another clean sheet. The result puts SC Canada in 2nd place in the East group of the qualifiers and in control of its own outcome when the third and final qualifier is played on June 26th to possibly clinch advancement into the tournament. Meanwhile Gateway United fell to 3rd place in the group and will need assistance in order to advance by needing SC Canada to lose its next qualifier or simply outscoring them offensively by 6 points if they both should win that weekend.
