Gunners Take Empire Opener; Now 8-0-0!

The Spartans started off strong and built a 3-1 lead over Capital District, but could not hold the Gunners offense down and eventually became another statistic in the standings. The result gives the Gunners a 3 point aggregate lead in the Empire Cup, and also puts the club 1 win shy of tying the Spartans 2014 record of a 9-0-0 start to a season. We'll have to wait on that storyline since next week is MCQ action. Meanwhile, Union SC got a very rare win over Alamo City to snap a 5 match losing streak. SC Canada outlasted the Stoners in a tight affair. Gold Coast FC got 2 hat tricks and destroyed Gateway United 8-1. Hawaii and Cumberland ran out of time and had to settle for a 6-6 tie.

  1. Nice win commish ... Quioto had an assist as well. Still not enough but 5 is better than 4.
